Always love it here! I used to always get the Rasta wrap combo with chips, garlic mayo and jamayo. It’s SO tasty. I am now vegetarian so I just get the chips however I seriously considered trying to be vego AND have Jamroc Rasta wrap once or twice a week. That’s how much I love it 😂

Great Jamaican inspired fast food.

Until I changed jobs and moved A few years back, I used to stop by here once a week. I had a craving for the Kingston wrap the other day, and it reminded me why I used to like eating there.

They specialise in chicken. Oxtail and curried goat are also available. Most of the meals can be bought as a combo. But the sides aren’t that exciting (rice and peas, Jamaican coleslaw...) so I keep going back to the chips. It is fast food after all l, so a bottled drink from the fridge and chips is pretty standard.

The restaurant layout is basic. It has a couch inside and some magazines if you’re waiting for a take at order. The food prep service isn’t fast, but it’s all a part of the Jamaican experience ‘mon’ (insert stereotypical accent here).

If you’re at, or passing by, the Q Super Centre in Mermaid Waters, then grab a bite at Jamroc. You won’t be disappointed.

Great chicken and the best chips. I love the different flavours and would recommend trying some of the different dishes like the oxtail.

I paid $35 today for two meals , the chips and drink were fine but the burgers were nothing but sauce and I mean a lot very disappointed!

Good taste. Whole chicken similar category to Nandos but $6 less. Burger was nice but I don't see a lot of clients.

Might possibly be the best chicken I’ve tasted in Australia. Hot affair is my spice of choice. And don’t get me started on the goat curry. To die for. Chips are always crisp and don’t go soggy. Visit frequently when visiting the Gold Coast.

Finally had the chance to experience Jamroc and I dunno why it took me so long! The goat and oxtail we're divine and the jerk chicken was spicy and cooked to perfection � definitely recommend this spot and I'll be going again very soon �

This is pretty much like nandos but a Jamaican version. You can choose your spice setting and have a wrap or burger. I enjoyed my wrap which was quite large. Tastes like something you could make yourself at home though.

Really succulent and tender whole chicken, especially impressed by the white meat of the chicken which was ridiculously juicy. Staff was nice and let us try the hottest sauce before ordering. We were given the option of having the flavours half half so we got to have 2 different spice levels. My boyfriend, a bonafide chicken fiend (although not a huge foodie), liked it so much he still talks about it a week later!

Some say there is no such thing as bad chicken, and there is no chicken like jerk chicken, all I know is that there is no jerk chicken like Jamroc’s Jerk Chicken.

Jamroc’s chicken is an experience of taste that is a thoroughly through and through flavour affair, far from the skin-deep variety that fails to leave you completely satisfied. The service is great with a friendly team.

Put this on your bucket-list, and if you’ve already had some, remember as there’s no rule against second helpings, definitely go back for more.

An absolute must if you are on the Gold Coast! Great food and overall a great experience. Be sure to come with an empty stomach!

Tried to call at 5.20 pm to verify they still took BC Phone was still on answering machine called again at 5.30 same, so drove all the way there only to find out they didn't take Bartercard for single orders

Great curry goat. So good I had to eat most of my wife’s. that was after I had eaten all my oxtail.

I'm Jamaican and I was very excited to find a Jamaican restaurant close to where I was staying but my excitement soon turned to disappointment. First with when making the reservations, I knew the kitchen closes at 8 and I asked for a 7:30 reservation because that's the time would be able to get there and the lady asked if I could try getting there at 7? As if she wanted to make sure she could leave work early. Then when I got there and got my food there was nothing Jamaican about it, the curry goat tasted indian, the jerk chicken tasted Portuguese and I'm not sure what I tasted with the oxtail but it wasn't Jamaican. Don't get me wrong the food wasn't bad but it wasn't Jamaican and to top it off there were no Jamaicans in the kitchen

This best sums up the feeling I get from the oxtail dish that has been slow cooked to perfection leaving all the wonderful Jamaican sauces within the oxtail, the Jerk chicken (with optional extra spicy sauce) was cooked to perfection with no hint of under or over cooked meat - all for a reasonable price. A point for consideration could be for the chicken to be cooked a little longer over say the "charcoal" burner to get that burnt caramelised taste (although I'm not sure if this is supposed to be how jerk chicken is supposed to taste - my only comparison is jerk chicken that I had in Astoria, NYC). Waiter was polite and helpful. So two big thumbs up to this place!

Gotten take-away from here twice, and loved it both times! My partner and I adore spicy foods, and you guys sure do live up to expectations. We get your hottest chicken, and it's consistently moist, tender, and cooked to perfection, even with breast pieces. Also, your chips are amazing, and everything is quite reasonably priced, especially for the quality. A new favourite, and will definitely be back again.

Ordered the goat curry and it was full of chicken... couldnt work out why it was called " goat" curry. Corn came out bit raw, was expecting more bbq.

Half chickens have no flavour at all... think i read somewhere it says its marinated for 24 hours but definitely not the case.

This now becomes a place i tell my friends to stay away from.

P.s when its cold and windy at night dont have gas heaters outside that dont work!

Best Jamaican chicken on the Gold Coast! Great variety of product offerings from mild to wild - take note their hottest sauce "rasta's revenge" packs a hell of a punch!! 50c wings on Wednesdays too - can't go wrong!

If you love Nandos, it just wont hit the mark anymore after you have tried the chicken at Jamroc.

Sounds like i may be exaggerating but in all honesty, this is a life changing experience!

Since i first stared going there some items have been disappearing from the menu, such as uniquely interesting festivals (cornmeal dumplings). However what has endured is the mind blowing taste of the grilled chicken (Rasta's Revenge every time!) and the perfectly crispy and flavorful seasoned chips.

Do the right thing to help this shrinking and little known gem by eating some chicken.

You'll be finding any excuse to to make the trip back for more.

First time here and reminded me of dinners at my friends house Jamaican style!! The brown stew chicken was epic!! SO yum and just round the corner . . Can't wait to try everything else!
