We have been buying for the last 4years through Billytong. Our family can’t get enough of their biltong, droe wors and boerewors. We have been dealing with Mark who’s a great guy, so friendly and accommodating!

Their products are delicious and I will be buying more in future. I can honestly say that the prepacked moist original biltong and the drop wors was way tastier than I expected. Also had a packet of chilli and peri peri flavours. They are also very we priced. Yum

Update from the original response I sent to the team directly (below) as I've got nothing but continued automated review requests from them saying they'd appreciate the chance to rectify any issues before a review is posted here. I tried to do this several days ago, but I got nothing but the above mentioned multiple review requests. Hence I have now posted my review as requested, although I am happy to amend it if, as they'd said they'd like to rectify any issues with the order.

"I'm one for giving open and honest feedback without beating around the bush, after it's what is South Africans do.

The recent batch of billy I got tasted great with just the right balance of spices, however the meat itself was sadly grissly and chewy with those sinew bits that get stuck why you try swallow. Granted this wasn't all of it, but it was some of the batch in particular the bonus 100g BBQ pack.

I appreciate no cow grows the same, but thought you'd appreciate the feedback directly rather than adding it to the review which could be misconceived by others."

Tried Billy tong after seeing recommendations via a group South Africans in uk page on face book. Took a gamble and bought big bag of Biltong and dried wors. Wow it is amazing. Best I’ve had in the uk. Especially dried wors. Highly recommend especially at this time of year when you can be a little home sick missing some sun and home comforts

I've tried jerky and biltong from a few places, but nothing so far is even in the same ballpark as Billy's biltong.

Besides the great flavour, delivery is quick and well packaged, and the product is fresh. I always end up consuming it too quickly though, so I can't really tell how long you can store it! Nothing is too much trouble for these guys to deal with. Highly recommended.

As always, the biltong and droëwors is excellent. However, my parcel arrived with two items missing and I contacted customer service. This was dealt with promptly and the two missing packets of droëwors were replaced within a few days. I should add that the missing items were the fault of the delivery company.

The new 3kg deal is great, some of the best value for money you can find online for really good biltong. Shipping took a few days, but I did order mine just before the bank holiday weekend. The biltong comes in pretty handy 250g packs which are very convenient for taking on a day out, picnic, gathering etc. The only problem is it runs out so fast due to how good it is!
