aryl and his team did fantastic work on our backyard reno. They tore out an 18-year-old deteriorating deck and laid in a contemporary paver patio, seating walls, serving counter, privacy screen and a custom metal/PVC deck and stairway. Beautiful accent lighting added the perfect finishing touch.

The work started later than expected and took awhile to complete due to the custom stairs but the end product is beautiful. They stayed within budget and with any renovation there were corrections to be made along the way however Daryl was always very receptive and responsive to get them rectified quickly. Now we look forward to enjoying our new backyard every chance possible.

Although we are not in the habit of posting online reviews……positive or negative…..we felt compelled to post one after our recent experience with ME.

Anyone considering an outdoor renovation of considerable size, much like us, likely dreads the process and hopes the final outcome will make it all worthwhile. I can say that not only did the craftsmanship and quality of the final outcome supersede our expectations, the process (timelines, consideration by the workers in our home and the communication with the sight manger) made it more than manageable.

This is our second home and our third renovation. Without hesitation, this has been the smoothest experience we have had. We endorse ME’s professionalism, craftsmanship and integrity. True to their word.

And ME thank you for ALWAYS closing the gate and keeping our two bulldogs safe through it all!

My husband and I were looking to have our front porch done and a friend recommended we get in touch with M.E. Contracting. We were thrilled with the service and experience from start to finish. The team stayed exactly on budget, provided knowledgeable and insightful feedback on our designs, executed the project in a shorter (!) amount of time than expected and left us with a finished product that we could not be happier with. We would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for this type of work.

I contacted ME Contracting for a quote on transforming our corner lot. The scope of work included replacing an old/failing retaining wall, removal of dense foliage, replacing walkway and front stairs, moving another set of stairs, constructing a fence, and installing new pavers on property and driveway . Basically, we wanted a blank canvas and an opportunity to enjoy previously unusable and exposed outdoor space.

Steve provided a fair (and comprehensive) quote that fell in the middle range of the three quotes we'd obtained. Immediately, we were struck by his knowledge and honest opinion on what was required for the project. Indeed, he seemed to know what we needed even if we didn't know ourselves. Beginning such a large (and expensive) project can be overwhelming and Steve made himself available to answer questions and offer opinions even before I'd committed to the company. This openness, along with a visit to the showroom, gave us the confidence to have ME Contracting do the work.

The project started earlier than anticipated in order to accommodate downtown street parking and was completed in precisely the amount of time estimated. Casey and the team were amazingly hard working, professional, and dedicated to the project. They were typically on site before I began getting ready for my own work day. Neighbours have commented (and continue to comment on) how impressed they were with the teams work ethic and with the end result itself. Jobs like this, in dense neighbourhoods, are bound to cause inconvenience but ME was able to address all reasonable concerns. And Steve, as a Project Manager, was always immediately available for any required communications.

I cannot recommend ME Contracting enough. They thoroughly delivered in every way - not to mention on time and within budget. And now I have a revitalized and usable outdoor space just in time for Canada Day. Thanks guys!

I had a very good experience with M.E. Contracting. Tomer was responsible for building a cedar gate and fence, as well as putting in new custom stairs for my basement entrance. All the work was done professionally and quickly. I had a few issues with the stairs, but they came by and remedied everything quickly. I would recommend them and use them again when I need to redo the deck.

I wouldn't recommend this company for landscape work. Low skilled, rude and ridiculously pricey.

My husband and I are so happy that we chose M.E. Contracting to install our backyard pool! We were so impressed with how quickly they completed the project and we are absolutely thrilled with the beautiful result. Steve and his team did a great job on our backyard reno. We tore out an old concrete patio and stairs, and put in a beautiful brick patio with space for a garden.

A friend recommended ME Contracting to us and we researched them online along with other Toronto contractors. We started the process of designing our front yard with Daryl in October 2016 and work began at the end of May 2017. The work went very smoothly initially with Biwar and his excellent team. There was a small slowdown because not enough bricks were delivered which meant that the worksite was left empty for a few days. In the interim, the city got involved and a stop work order was issued, in order to provide tree protection. This meant a 12 week delay to wait for the permit. Daryl, Biwar and his team returned at the end of September and finished the work quickly and professionally. We are thrilled with the result but in December 2017, we are still waiting for the return of the $5,300 security deposit we were required to pay as a result of the permit issue. My advice would be to ensure that all permits are in order.

So far so good! I had to write this review even when the work is still being done but from what we see these guys are the real deal. Professional and focused on getting us the best product for what we pay.

I also wanted to comment on their foreman Simon, this guy is awesome. Works real hard and very good with communicating the work, making sure the site is clean, the neighbours don’t complain etc.

I will update this review later but so far, so good.

I dealt with M.E Contracting last summer, and they are TOP NOTCH PROFESSIONALS!. I'd an issue that been solved on the spot by their team. On top of that, their amazing job assisted me in selling my house few months later with an amazing backyard and gorgeous landscaping on the front of the house.

I contacted the company to get a quote for fence work through Homestars. I received an email from Ola (no position provided) from the tone of her email, the company is not interested in doing "small jobs" unless those jobs START at a MINIMUM of $15,000. I have to wonder about a company that puts in a MINIMUM dollar amount for any project. It would be interesting to know the cost/sqft that this company charges. The company's main work is in hard landscaping, will only do soft landscaping if it's in conjunction with hard landscaping. In any event, the company has lost not only this current project but also any future work.

My neighbour hired this contractor to build their front and back yard landscape so I got involved with them as we were repaving our shared driveway. The asphalt was completed and not graded properly, which created an area that directed water towards one of my basement windows. Not good. They also damaged my existing driveway by driving their machines over it without my permission. I withheld payment to ensure that my issues were rectified satisfactorily. Eventually the site foreman (he never gave me a name) came to my house to talk about my issues and this conversation quickly devolved into him yelling at me and accusing me of trying to get out of paying. I am a Landscape Architect by trade so deal with landscape contractors on a daily basis and have never in my career been treated with such contempt. Eventually, the angry man stopped shouting and we were than able to speak about a remedy to my issues. I proposed a reduced payment to settle the dispute, so that I could use the money to fix their mistakes, which the angry man accepted. He did not make any proposals beyond telling me I was wrong and demanding full payment. Not a fun experience. Would not recommend you use this contractor.

We wanted to build a deck in our backyard but we didn’t want to take down the 2 mature trees we have. Eitan was the only one able to give us the solution we envisioned. the deck came out just beautiful, complementing the backyard and providing the space while keeping nature in. the fence is great too. We cant say anything but thank you.

Big shout out to M.E contracting for their hard work last year on our backyard. The company had all the machinery and no sub contractors, they put huge armorstones and paved a beautiful stone walkway. They did it all and did it superbly.

Very good contractors is all I can say. They did a nice clean job on our deck. The crew was very professional and knew what they were doing. Great service and all in all a good company to work with. We hire again for other projects in the future.

We hired m.e contracting to replace our deck and do some landscaping and I must say that they did a great job on everything. they had 1 crew for the demolition of the old deck while the others are using their machines to excavate and prepare for landscaping.

I think the project was pretty simple and straight forward as it included ripping out our driveway and installing new interlocking driveway instead as well as adding some landscaping design we wanted such as arbor stones, trees and new grass.

The landscaping project went very well, Eitan the owner and his wife Keren know how to provide quality customer service and it works well.
