The hotel makes a very positive impression. The rooms are clean, even quite atmospheric. Very good, plentiful breakfasts. Wide selection, fresh bread and fruit. Quick access, efficient departure from the city. The downside is the lack of free parking. Nice welcome, friendly staff.

It is our second time at this hotel. Our stay at the hotel was as good as the first time. Lovely facility, great staff and perfect quiet location in the centre of the old town.

Extremely charming, atmospheric, wonderfully located hotel where we felt like in the home of an elegant great-grandmother - lots of beautiful paintings, plates, old furniture, vases, and above all, this incredible silence in the middle of the city.

It is not an exclusive hotel - but I would give it 5 stars for the possibility of traveling back in time by a few hundred years and feeling the magic of old Krakow. We are very satisfied with our stay. It was beautiful!

This hotel boasts a fantastic location is clean, quiet, and perfect for exploring. However, a few amenities could be improved. Firstly, providing separate and more powerful hair dryers and hair conditioner would be a welcome addition. Currently, there's only a single all-in-one product for both hair and body. Additionally, the rooms, while functional, feel a bit outdated, there are not enough plugs and the curtains don't fully block the morning light. Finally, the lack of adjustable heating might be an issue for some guests.

That the main drawback you find in a hotel is the bed, is serious. And in Krakow, even more so.

When traveling with my son, we requested a twin room (with two single beds) and the surprise upon arrival after an early flight and exploring Krakow all day was that we had two beds that were 80 cm wide...

We requested a change, a solution because both of us are almost 2 meters tall and therefore have considerable stature.

The response was that it was the standard in Poland (even for one of the most expensive rooms in a 5-star hotel)...

The hotel is quiet, the breakfasts are very good, and the location is excellent, but it is also not at the level you would expect from a 5-star hotel.

The reception staff is distant and unsympathetic, and the issue with the beds, which should be fundamental in a hotel, is a letdown.

Beautiful hotel, great place, very nice and polite service. However, the quality of breakfasts and the selection of dishes leave much to be desired. The breakfast offer is more reminiscent of a 3-star or even a 5-star hotel. My negative assessment comes from the fact that maybe someone will read these comments and react appropriately.

Central hotel, within the medieval wall. 5 minutes from Santa María. Spacious and clean room. Good mattress and quiet street that helps you rest. What stands out in the hotel is its library bar where you can enjoy a coffee, beer or drink while reading a good book in a room that is perfect for it. Also highlight the archaeological exhibition in the restaurant. And the best without a doubt the quality and quantity of the breakfast.

The hotel is impressive from the very beginning. The wonderful decor puts you in a good mood and has its own unique character. Special mention is made of the bar, where I had the opportunity to relax on a very comfortable leather sofa, drinking a great mojito without alcohol in my hand, upon special request. It was prepared by a very charming blonde bartender who seems to be great at her job. Full professionalism, but at the same time a very friendly approach to the client. I also had the opportunity to try pelmeni in an interestingly decorated restaurant, which was probably the best meal of my life. So I highly recommend the local cuisine and when I visit Krakow again I will definitely come back to this enchanted place.

service in the restaurant was impossible to find, food was like in a milk bar, we had to change the room because it was impossible to sleep, we described all the problems in our letter to the hotel manager and passed them on to us at the reception. To sum up - the hotel is too expensive for what it offers, it's a pity because it is in a good place and pretty. I'm sorry that these 3 days for your birthday were stressful and tiring due to lack of sleep.

However, in my opinion, a 5* hotel does not deserve it. Low level of breakfast for such a high class hotel. The staff was completely uninterested in the guests who were eating. There was old, dry bread for 3 days.

Overall I really liked the hotel. Located in the old town, but on a quiet and non-traversable street. Tourists do not go near the hotel. All the most interesting places are within walking distance and minutes from the hotel. The hotel restaurant, although the choice of dishes is not large, is tasty. Morning breakfast is a buffet. It’s delicious and you won’t leave hungry. One minus: there is no parking. But the hotel will arrange a paid parking space for an additional fee. 3-5 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall I recommend this hotel. And if we come to Krakow again, we will settle here.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel and will stay there again if given the chance. The staff were so helpful and friendly and as the manager said the day we were leaving- they are different- in a very good meaning of the word. Great service!

Yes, you do have to walk around the corner to the city but it’s such a nice quiet area adjacent to the park. I didn’t see pics included of the upstairs terrace but we enjoyed that every night with our adult kids. We got our drinks at the bar and went outside to enjoy them in the nice weather to talk over the things we had seen that day.

Bar is quaint with the ambience of a reading room. Drink selection is limited but with all the essentials. Breakfast room/restaurant contains a little museum of sorts of local ceramics and pottery sherds. Lovely, cute, and well located with friendly staff and a rooftop garden

Amazing 23 room hotel in Old Town.

Charming hotel in excellent location that is conveniently located near the square but just off on a side road that is quiet. All staff are super friendly, especially the breakfast staff (olena?). Breakfast is outstanding! Rooms are comfortable and European. I would definitely return!

Nice hotel with a bit pretentious design. The lack of parking and the possibility of getting there by car is a bit surprising. The hotel parking lot is located approx. 400 m on another street, behind a busy intersection with traffic lights. Typical Krakow rubbish under the guise of protecting monuments.

The hotel is in a great location, with a parking lot a few hundred meters away from the hotel. Very nice service, tasty breakfast. Rooms clean. The only minus, which I think is unacceptable, is the heating control that doesn't work. To set the temperature I had to call the reception. The knob on the wall did not respond.

Had the most amazing hotel experience. Location is amazing— just near the main square, but quiet. The rooms were exquisite. We had two rooms. Both were beautifully designed. The hotel was small and had an extremely cozy feel to it. The breakfast buffet was also great and we came back for hotel dinner several times. The staff was also extremely kind and hospitable.

We spent 4 nights in the Gródek Hotel in December 2022. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the room was well presented, warm and extremely comfortable. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. It is situated just a couple of minutes walk from the Old Town Square. Would definitely recommend this place, and I will certainly return in the future.

Perfect in every way.

This wonderful building stands for hotels from the 90s however it was very clean. My issue was upon arrival we wanted a drink in the bar and was told no drinks of any kind were avaliable, the restaurant was closed and hadn't been open since before covid.

The rooms are dated and the breakfast was poor quilty with little choice.

This is not a 5 star hotel as advertised

I love Krakow, we were passing through on our way to Ukraine and needed a bed for the night. What a beautiful little hotel, I can't fault it to be honest. Excellent breakfast in a lovely room. A really happy memory.

This is not a 5 star hotel, its a 3 star. The reviews mentioned a restaurant and bar and excellent food. Since we have been here and still here there is no restaurant open or availability of food and the bar isn't the best. We went in one afternoon to get a drink in the bar of this hotel and we asked for a glass of wine, the lady said we have no glasses of wine, then said we have only bottles, then said I'll have to ask my manager if the guests could get a glass of wine. The oddest thing I have ever heard. There is no atmosphere in the hotel bar. The hotel has a sauna, we wanted to go up to the sauna but you've to tell reception so they can turn it on. Really!. The room in clean and breakfast is lovely. If you want a hotel with good location and good breakfast go here. For atmosphere and drinks don't go here, or even for afternoon snack don't go here. I wouldn't really recommend it, it's not the best place to stay in krakow

5 star hotel which is actually a 3 or 4 star. No restaurant. No bar and breakfast at 15 euros. Very clean room and lovely staff, right in the city center, everything can be done on foot.

Unfortunately, one big disappointment. Only the location is good. The rest... difficult access, parking 400 m from the hotel, poor competence of the reception girls, only a nice smile and no help. The room was dirty, the air conditioning did not work, the view from the window was on the wall of another building, the bed was uncomfortable. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. I booked a room in a 5-star hotel of a higher standard, but it was some kind of accommodation. Absolutely inadequate quality for the price

A huge disappointment.

At the beginning, great location, nice service, nice room standard, and then...

- the hotel door was locked at night and we had to camp in front of the hotel until someone from the morning staff opened the door for us,

- bathtub covered with a cloth instead of a glass structure,

- cold meats and sausages were not delivered an hour before the end of breakfast,

- no restaurant despite advertising and a discount offered to hotel guests.

I wouldn't wish such pleasures on anyone, and it's a 5-star hotel!!

This is a 3 star hotel. Maybe even 2 star.

The AC/heating is controlled by calling the reception. But it didn’t even work when we stayed there. I requested a fan but they didn’t have any so we were super hot and miserable all night. We had to sleep with the window open but couldn’t sleep because of the noise from the street.

The bed was super uncomfortable.

The bathroom door wouldn’t lock and close.

Stay at Hotel Stary instead. We had a great experience there.

It's not 5* hotel, maybe 3... I visited in winter and was cold in my room, but hotel has common system of hitting, you can't fix temperature in your room by yourself. Everything old in room, the bathroom of 5* with old blind... when I wanted to visit restaurant at evening, no one inside, I waited 15 minutes but nobody comes. Difficult to find if you are first time here. No elevator

Everything is super and the staff is very friendly.

When visiting a hotel restaurant, you don't expect anything special. Here you can be positively surprised by the quality and taste of the dishes served, the service is clumsy but tries very hard to make everything good.

We actually booked the hotel “Pod bialys Orlem”. Because of the pandemic it was closed. We only found out about this at the hitel door. The bookings were moved to the “Grodek” hotel. Taxi pickup was offered.

We are disappointed because we have already been to the other hotel several times and can compare both.

The reception is tiny. The rooms are much smaller and only functionally furnished. The courtyard is illuminated all night long. The curtains cannot be closed completely. During the 4 days of our stay the rooms were not cleaned once - pandemic.

The breakfast was monotonous but generally good, only the bread and rolls were always old, which is absurd for a 5 star hotel.

When we are back in Krakow we will book our hotel.
